Birthday Goodness

Hello Friends,

Today, I’m sharing a card I created for CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group. My card features the new Birthday Goodness Stamp Set. I was in love with this set at first sight...love the donuts and macarons, and it has the perfect birthday sentiments.

I started by stamping the image onto Whisper White Cardstock. I colored the image using the Stampin’ Blends. For the base I used the light/dark Soft Sea Foam, the donuts are colored using light/dark Crumb Cake. For the icing I used light/dark Highland Heather, light/dark Soft Sea Foam, light/dark Daffodil Delight, and light/dark Petal Pink and dark Flirty Flamingo sprinkles. The candles are colored with dark Flirty Flamingo and dark Mango Melody.

Using a die cutting machine, I cropped the image using the Stitched Rectangles. I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black. I adhered the sentiment using some Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Then, using some Tear and Tape, I adhered a piece of Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and Organdy Striped Ribbon to the back of the image.

Using Mini Dimensionals, I adhered the image to the card front. For the card front I used the Magnolia Lane DSP which is adhered to a Petal Pink Cardstock base.

I used a pice of the same DSP to decorate the envelope.....I love decorating my envelopes.

I was inspired by using the sketches from .CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group. Visit the group to see what others have created and share your CASE with us.

Celebrate the Best Day Ever

Hello Friends!

I have totally been enjoying my summer break, playing with all the wonderful new stamp sets from the new 2019 Stampin’ Up! Catalog. My card for today features a couple of new things the catalog offers.

I used Soft Sea Foam Cardstock for the cardbase. For the first layer, I decided to use the new Garden Lane DSP. This DSP has many pretty patterns in many hues of green. I went with the sheet that has the softer greens. (Don’t adhere it to the card base just yet.)

Then, using an embossing machine, run the Lace 3D EF (currently not available to order)  on a piece of Soft Sea Foam Cardstock. Then, on the piece of cardstock that was just embossed, use a die cutting machine to crop a frame using the Stitched Rectangles Dies - adhere the embossed/die cut pieces to the card front.

Then, using the Band Together Stamp Set, I stamped just the flower on Whisper White Cardstock in Blushing Bride. On another piece of Whisper White, I stamped the sentiment in Mint Macaron. I then cropped them using the coordinating dies, Detailed Bands Dies.

Using the Detailed Bands Dies, I cropped the detailed leaf twice in Soft Sea Foam and the medium size detailed band in Mint Macaron.

Now wrap and adhere the detailed band around the card front and adhered the card front to the card base. Adhere the two leaves behind the flower and adhere the flower to the card front. Then, adhere the sentiment over the band with Mini Dimensionals. For the final touch I added some Rhinestones Basic Jewels.

My card was inspired by the sketch provided by CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group. Stop by and see what others have created and share your CASE with us. Hope you have enjoyed my card, thank you for stopping by!

Pocketful of Happiness

Hello Stampers,

Have you had a chance to play with some of the new stamps sets? I just received my order yesterday and I was so happy to be on summer break because I was able to stayed up late and play with the new Pocketful of Happiness Stamp Set. What first drew me to this set was the sentiments and font...I didn't have the coordinating Pocket Dies but I figured I could fuzzy cut.

I started by stamping the image onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock. I knew I wanted to color the flowers using the Rococo Rose Stampin’ Blends, as they were also a new toy. I also used Crumb Cake and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends for the branches. For the sweet bird, I used Crumb Cake first and went over it with Mango Melody to give it a golden look. Remember I mentioned that I didn’t have the coordinating dies? Well I discovered that the image fits perfectly in the second largest Stitched Nested Labels Dies. I was so excited that I didn’t have to fuzzy cut it. I trimmed off the extra cardstock off the top. I wrapped some Linen Thread on the top and used some of the new Noble Peacock Rhinestones in the center of the big flowers.

I used Old Olive Cardstock for the card base and Whisper White Cardstock for the card front. I stamped the sentiment in Old Olive. I cut a piece of Rococo Rose Cardstock and adhered a piece of Rococo Rose In Color DSP. On top of this I adhered my pocket image. Then, using Mini Dimensionals I adhered the Rococo Rose square to the card front.

Don’t you just love how the card turned out? I sure do! Simple, quick and beautiful, any recipient would love it.

Thank you for stopping by.

You’ve Been On My Mind - Good Morning Magnolia

Hello Stampers! Happy Tuesday!

It’s CASE-ing Tuesday!
CASE-ing Tuesday #204, where we chose a card from our current Stampin’ Up Catalog and CASE (copy) by changing a little, a lot, or nothing at all.
I’ve been having so much fun playing with some new stamp sets and for today’s CASE I’m using Good Morning Magnolia.

For my card I started with a Crumb Cake cardbase. The first layer, also in Crumb Cake, was embossed using the Subtle EF. Using the Magnolia Lane DSP, a circle was cut using the Stitched Shapes dies. A piece of Petal Pink Organdy Ribbon was adhered to the back of the circle. On a piece of Petal Pink Cardstock, the sentiment was stamped with Crumb Cake using the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set. This was adhered to the front of the circle and the circle was adhered to the card front. Then, on a scrap piece of Whisper White I stamped the magnolia bud and colored it using the Stampin’ Blends. The bud was adhered to the card front with Mini Dimensionals. I then slipped a Leaf Trinket under the bud, it was adhered with a Mini Glue Dot.

Here’s a closer look.

Here’s the inside of the card. The sentiment if from Healing Hugs and the design on top is from Good Morning Magnolia.

Here are the sketches that were provided.

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s card. Join us at CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group, see what others have created and join in on the fun. We would love to see your CASE! Thanks for stopping by.

Free As A Bird Birthday Wishes

Hello Stampers! Happy Tuesday!

It’s CASE-ing Tuesday!
CASE-ing Tuesday #203, where we chose a card from a current Stampin’ Up Catalog and CASE (copy) by changing a little, a lot, or nothing at all.

This is week, CASE-ing Tuesday has selected the card on page 59, which features a new stamp set You Always Deliever. A sketch with measurements has also been provided.

For my card I used the new Free As A Bird stamp set. I love this set, it’s my #1 pick for the new catalog. This set can be used for many occasions.....thank you, get well, thinking of you, sympathy or birthday cards.

I used Crumb Cake cardstock for the card base, Petal Pink cardstock for the sentiment and Bird Ballad DSP. I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black and used Stampin’ Blends to color the image. The DSP was adhered to the back of the image. The sentiment was stamped using the Varied Vases stamp set sentiment in Crumb Cake. I adhered a piece of Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon behind the Whisper White cardstock.
The image was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I really love how my card turned out this week. Hope you enjoyed it as well. Join us over at CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group and see what others have create and share your CASE with us. Thanks for stopping by.

Let Your Dreams Soar

Hello Stampers! Happy Tuesday!

It’s CASE-ing Tuesday!
CASE-ing Tuesday #201, where we chose a card from a current Stampin’ Up Catalog and CASE (copy) by changing a little, a lot, or nothing at all.

Above is the card and sketch that was provided. For my CASE I’m using the new Above the Clouds Bundle, which will be available starting June 4, 2019.

For my card I combined the new In Color Seaside Spray with Blueberry Bushel. I used the Seaside Spray In Color DSP for the card front. I stamped the solid air balloon on the Whisper White cardstock. The outlined stamp was stamped over the solid image in Blueberry Bushel. I stamped an extra hot air balloon on an extra piece of Whisper White and punched it out with the coordinating punch and adhered it to the card front with Mini Dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment using Versamark ink and white embossing powder.  I adhered the sentiment to the In Color Blueberry
Bushel DSP and adhered them to the card front with Mini Dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this week’s card. Join us at CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group, see what others have create and be sure to share your CASE with us. Thank you for stopping by.

Good-bye Lemon Zest

Hello Stampers! Happy Tuesday!

Today, I want to share with you one of my favorite stamps sets.....the Lemon Zest Stamp Set! I love this set because I love lemons! Love their taste, their smell, and how they remind me of my dad. I’m sad that this set will be retiring June 3, 2019.

I started with Pineapple Punch cardstock for the card base. Then, I used Pineapple Punch In Color DSP (which will be retiring soon) for the first layer. Before adhering the DSP to the card front I wrapped  a piece of Granny Apple Green Texture Weave Ribbon and Whisper White Baker’s Twine.

On scraps of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the lemons and leaves and punched them out with the Lemon Builder Punch. I adhered the leaves using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and adhered the Lemons with Stampin’ Up Dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black. To finish the card I added some Granny Apple Green Enamel Dots.

Today’s card was very easy to create. I was inspired by the sketch provided by CASE-ing Tuesday. Join us over at CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group! See what others have created and share with us your take on this week’s sketch.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful week!

Country Birthday Wishes

Hello Stampers! It’s CASE-ing Tuesday and time to play along with CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group.

Today, this pretty box/canvas was provided for the CASE. It was decorated using the You’re Inspiring Stamp Set.

And this is the sketch that you can use to CASE. I will be using this sketch to make my card. Love how it provides the measurements!

Here’s my card. For the card front I used the grass image from Country Road Stamp Set. I stamped it using Mint Macaron.

I stamped the boots from the Country Livin’ Stamp Set in Memento Black and colored them using Light/Dark Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. For the flowers and fern I used the Jar Of Love Stamp Set.  The fern was stamped using Mint Macaron. I used Lovely Lipstick for the little flowers. Blushing Bride and Flirty Flamingo for the next smallest flowers and used the coordinating framelits (Everyday Jars) to cut them out. The bigger flowers were stamped using Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody and cut out using the framelits. I adhered this to a piece of Lovely Lipstick cardstock. On a
scrap of Mint Macaron cardstock I stamped the sentiment from Itty Bitty Birthdays in Memento Black. The embellishments used were from the Frosted Flower Embellishments and Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card and that it inspires you to get inky. Go to CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group to see what others have created. Until next time.

If Flowers Were Hugs

Happy Sunday!

For today’s card I’m using the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches

and Ian’s color challenge at Stamping For All Facebook Group.

For my card I used the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set. I thought this set was perfect for the color challenge as this colors are perfect for a spring card.
I used the Mint Macaron for the card base. Then, using the largest Rectangle Stitched Framelit die I
cut out a piece of Daffodil Delight. The Whisper White is cut out using the second largest Rectangle Stitched Framelit.

I started with the fuller stem image and stamped it with Mint Macaron (stamped off twice). Then, using Old Olive (stamped off once), the other stem image was stamped on top. Using Daffodil Delight,  I stamped the fuller flowers in Daffodil Delight (stamped off once). Then over them I stamped the less fuller flowers in Daffodil Delight.

On a piece of Crumb Cake I embossed the sentiment and adhered it using a bit of Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I adhered the Whisper White cardstock to the Daffodil Delight cardstock using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then adhered this layer to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then added some Share What You Love Artisan Pearls to some of the flowers.

I hope you enjoyed my card. Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful week.

Erika

One Of The Best Things In Life Is You

Hello Stampers! Happy Tuesday!
Today I’m playing along with CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group. For their challenge you either CASE the card provided or use the sketch provided for inspiration.

The card being CASEd this week features the Dear Doily Stamp Set and the Doily Builder Thinlits Dies.

I started with a Thick Whisper White Cardstock for the card base, 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
I wanted Spring colors for my card, so I used Flirty Flamingo Cardstock for the first layer,
 4 1/8 x 5 3/8.

For the second layer, I used the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper - lattice design. Carefully, using Tombow Liquid Glue I adhered it to a piece of Blushing Bride Cardstock,
3 1/2 x 5”.

I used the host set Very Vintage for the sentiment. I stamped it onto Whisper White Cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black. I then cut it using the second smallest circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. Using the Everyday Jar Framelits I cut out two stems, one that was stamped and the other wasn’t. Also, I punched out leaf in vellum and adhered it to the back of the sentiment using a little bit of Tombow glue. I adhered a piece of Burlap Ribbon and Lemon Lime Twist Organdy Ribbon. Then with some Stampin’ Dimensionals I adhered it to the card front.

Be Your Own Kind Of Beautiful

Hello Friends! When I started stamping 5 years ago I was very intimidated by all those rubber stamps. I was so afraid that my cards were not going to be liked by their recipients. I thought that every card I made needed lots of layers and/or embellishments. Well that’s not true! Today, I want to show you that not all cards need layers and/or embellishments. That simple cards with simple stamping can create beautiful cards. I’ll be showing 3 different cards using the Flowering Desert Stamp Set.

For my first card, my simple stamping card, I stamped on Thick Whisper White cardstock. I used Mint Macaron, Gray Granite, Powder Pink and Memento Tuxedo Black. This card was done in less than 5 minutes. A very simple and pretty card.

My second card, I stamped on Whisper White cardstock, which I adhered onto Powder Pink cardstock and then to a Mint Macaron card base. The sentiment was stamped on Whisper White cardstock and used the Triple Banner Punch for the ends. Then, I adhered it to the card front with Mini Dimensionals. This card is still simple but with a little more details and took less then 10 minutes.

For my last card I added a bit more details. I used Mint Macaron cardstock for the card base and adhered Subtles DSP in Mint Macaron. I stamped the image and added another detail using Flirty Flamingo ink. I used a layering square framelit to die cut it and adhered it to a piece of Powder Pink cardstock that was die cut using the layer scalloped square. I adhered some Powder Pink Shimmer Ribbon behind the square before adhering it to the card front. The sentiment was adhered to the the image using Mini Dimensionals. Last, I added a button to the top corner.

I hope you enjoyed my different variations of simple stamping. Stamping can be intimidating but we need to remember that those stamps are our friends and will help use create beautiful cards. Thank you for stopping by, until next time.

Happy Birthday To You!

Hello Stampers! Hope you’re having a wonderful Sunday. Today’s card is bright and cheerful, perfect  to wish someone a Happy Birthday.

I started with Coastal Cabana card base. For the card front, I used Granny Apple Green, How Sweet It Is DSP, and Gorgeous Grape.

Then, I stamped the sentiment using Memento Tuxedo Black onto Whisper White cardstock. Using the Stampin’ Up Blends I colored the letters. I started by coloring with the light shade, then outlining with the darker shade and then one more time with the light shade. I adhered the sentiment to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. To finish the card I added Coastal Cabana Glitter Enamel Dots to the corners and decorated the envelope flap with DSP.
I used the sketch and rainbow part of the photo from Fusion Card Challenge for inspiration. It turn out to be such a fun card, don’t you agree? I hope you enjoyed it. Thank you for stopping by.

Hello Beautiful

Hello stampers!
Welcome to CASE-ing Tuesday #187! Where we choose a card from a current Stampin’ Up! Catalog and CASE (copy) by changing a little, a lot or nothing at all. And with a sketche!! Which makes CASE-ing so much fun! You can use the card being CASE’d or the sketch provided to create your card.

The card being CASE’d features the Incredible Like You Stamp Set, which can be found on page 21 of the Occasions Catalog.

And here is the sketch with measurements. Love that measurements are provided.

My card features the Happiness Blooms Suite, page 25 from the 2019 Occasions Catalog. I’m using the Bloom by Bloom Stamp Set, Happiness Blooms DSP, Bitty Blooms Punch Pack and the Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots.

I used Night Of Navy Cardstock for the card base. I like a bit of the base to show so my first layer, the DSP is smaller by 1/8 all around.

For the second layer, I stamped the images onto Whisper White Cardstock in Call Me Clover, Grapefruit Grove, Lovely Lipstick, and Pineapple Punch. I adhered this to a piece of Night Of Navy cardstock that measures 3 5/8 x 4 3/8

The sentiment was stamped using Night Of Navy onto Whisper White cardstock and it’s from the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set. I adhered  the sentiment to a piece of Night Of Navy cardstock  that measures  2 1/8” x 1 7/8”. This piece was adhere to the card front with Mini Dimensionals.
Two little flowers were punched and adhered with glue dots and an enamel dot was added to the center of each one.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card and join us over at CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group. See what others have created and share your CASE. Thanks for stopping by.
