Celebrate the Best Day Ever

Hello Friends!

I have totally been enjoying my summer break, playing with all the wonderful new stamp sets from the new 2019 Stampin’ Up! Catalog. My card for today features a couple of new things the catalog offers.

I used Soft Sea Foam Cardstock for the cardbase. For the first layer, I decided to use the new Garden Lane DSP. This DSP has many pretty patterns in many hues of green. I went with the sheet that has the softer greens. (Don’t adhere it to the card base just yet.)

Then, using an embossing machine, run the Lace 3D EF (currently not available to order)  on a piece of Soft Sea Foam Cardstock. Then, on the piece of cardstock that was just embossed, use a die cutting machine to crop a frame using the Stitched Rectangles Dies - adhere the embossed/die cut pieces to the card front.

Then, using the Band Together Stamp Set, I stamped just the flower on Whisper White Cardstock in Blushing Bride. On another piece of Whisper White, I stamped the sentiment in Mint Macaron. I then cropped them using the coordinating dies, Detailed Bands Dies.

Using the Detailed Bands Dies, I cropped the detailed leaf twice in Soft Sea Foam and the medium size detailed band in Mint Macaron.

Now wrap and adhere the detailed band around the card front and adhered the card front to the card base. Adhere the two leaves behind the flower and adhere the flower to the card front. Then, adhere the sentiment over the band with Mini Dimensionals. For the final touch I added some Rhinestones Basic Jewels.

My card was inspired by the sketch provided by CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group. Stop by and see what others have created and share your CASE with us. Hope you have enjoyed my card, thank you for stopping by!

Pocketful of Happiness

Hello Stampers,

Have you had a chance to play with some of the new stamps sets? I just received my order yesterday and I was so happy to be on summer break because I was able to stayed up late and play with the new Pocketful of Happiness Stamp Set. What first drew me to this set was the sentiments and font...I didn't have the coordinating Pocket Dies but I figured I could fuzzy cut.

I started by stamping the image onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock. I knew I wanted to color the flowers using the Rococo Rose Stampin’ Blends, as they were also a new toy. I also used Crumb Cake and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends for the branches. For the sweet bird, I used Crumb Cake first and went over it with Mango Melody to give it a golden look. Remember I mentioned that I didn’t have the coordinating dies? Well I discovered that the image fits perfectly in the second largest Stitched Nested Labels Dies. I was so excited that I didn’t have to fuzzy cut it. I trimmed off the extra cardstock off the top. I wrapped some Linen Thread on the top and used some of the new Noble Peacock Rhinestones in the center of the big flowers.

I used Old Olive Cardstock for the card base and Whisper White Cardstock for the card front. I stamped the sentiment in Old Olive. I cut a piece of Rococo Rose Cardstock and adhered a piece of Rococo Rose In Color DSP. On top of this I adhered my pocket image. Then, using Mini Dimensionals I adhered the Rococo Rose square to the card front.

Don’t you just love how the card turned out? I sure do! Simple, quick and beautiful, any recipient would love it.

Thank you for stopping by.

You’ve Been On My Mind - Good Morning Magnolia

Hello Stampers! Happy Tuesday!

It’s CASE-ing Tuesday!
CASE-ing Tuesday #204, where we chose a card from our current Stampin’ Up Catalog and CASE (copy) by changing a little, a lot, or nothing at all.
I’ve been having so much fun playing with some new stamp sets and for today’s CASE I’m using Good Morning Magnolia.

For my card I started with a Crumb Cake cardbase. The first layer, also in Crumb Cake, was embossed using the Subtle EF. Using the Magnolia Lane DSP, a circle was cut using the Stitched Shapes dies. A piece of Petal Pink Organdy Ribbon was adhered to the back of the circle. On a piece of Petal Pink Cardstock, the sentiment was stamped with Crumb Cake using the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set. This was adhered to the front of the circle and the circle was adhered to the card front. Then, on a scrap piece of Whisper White I stamped the magnolia bud and colored it using the Stampin’ Blends. The bud was adhered to the card front with Mini Dimensionals. I then slipped a Leaf Trinket under the bud, it was adhered with a Mini Glue Dot.

Here’s a closer look.

Here’s the inside of the card. The sentiment if from Healing Hugs and the design on top is from Good Morning Magnolia.

Here are the sketches that were provided.

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s card. Join us at CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group, see what others have created and join in on the fun. We would love to see your CASE! Thanks for stopping by.

Free As A Bird Birthday Wishes

Hello Stampers! Happy Tuesday!

It’s CASE-ing Tuesday!
CASE-ing Tuesday #203, where we chose a card from a current Stampin’ Up Catalog and CASE (copy) by changing a little, a lot, or nothing at all.

This is week, CASE-ing Tuesday has selected the card on page 59, which features a new stamp set You Always Deliever. A sketch with measurements has also been provided.

For my card I used the new Free As A Bird stamp set. I love this set, it’s my #1 pick for the new catalog. This set can be used for many occasions.....thank you, get well, thinking of you, sympathy or birthday cards.

I used Crumb Cake cardstock for the card base, Petal Pink cardstock for the sentiment and Bird Ballad DSP. I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black and used Stampin’ Blends to color the image. The DSP was adhered to the back of the image. The sentiment was stamped using the Varied Vases stamp set sentiment in Crumb Cake. I adhered a piece of Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon behind the Whisper White cardstock.
The image was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I really love how my card turned out this week. Hope you enjoyed it as well. Join us over at CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group and see what others have create and share your CASE with us. Thanks for stopping by.
